I've recently received this same forwarded message from a number of friends through Facebook
"Please tell all the contacts in your messenger list not to accept Jayden K. Smith friendship request. He is a hacker and has the system connected to your Facebook account. If one of your contacts accepts it, you will also be hacked, so make sure that all your friends know it. Thanks. Forwarded as received."
If you receive this message, please DO NOT forward it. It is a hoax. Facebook is riddled with things like this. http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-trending-40560957
If you are going to use online media, please take a few minutes and educate yourself on what is and isn't possible.
The obvious thing to look for in this particular message is that this guy will hack you just by adding him as a friend.
I know a thing or 2 about hacking and I can guarantee you with 100% certainty that unless he works for Facebook with access to their servers, there is absolutely no way that he can obtain your IP address. An IP address is the essential ingredient in order to ping your system to first find your computer and then it's a whole different ballgame for him to exploit open ports on your machine in order to access your computer.
Without access to Facebook's servers, there is absolutely no way for anyone to gain access to your computer.
All you have to worry about on Facebook are scams but if you're stupid enough to reply to a message from someone that you don't know that have certain terms like: Dr, Mohamad fu****ce from Nigerian high council, consignment, utmost secrecy or something that promised you a few million dollars if you use your bank account then, you deserve to lose your money.
Those that get scammed by those common scams these days are just as bad as the scammers because without you, the scammers wouldn't exist. The smartest of us all can be scammed by a good, thought out scam but I'm talking about those common scams that have been around for years and would populate the first hundred pages of Google if you learnt how to search and use it.
Basically, the internet is a dangerous place for idiots. If you don't know how to use anything but Ebay, Trademe and Facebook then write letters using snail mail until you do.
This one you can forward because it ain't no hoax. If only the truth got forwarded more than the hoaxes, the internet would be a better place...
A message asking Facebook users to spread a hacker warning has been exposed as a fake by social media users
