I loved hearing Sam from DATTO speak at the Empowering Women in Tech event with Houston Technology and cohosted by a couple of weeks ago.

Her talk on her journey as a woman in tech and overcoming imposter syndrome really resonated with me. I realised that I still get imposter syndrome when I get up to talk in front of a group or go to work on certain projects that challenge me.

Who else here stills deals with imposter syndrome? Any tips?

Everyone has to start (or restart) somewhere. 🤎

A little logo refresh for 2023 before I relaunch my website and services in March. Keeping it simple and low cost by adjusting a template on Canva because ya girl had still got to finish her studies and isn’t in a full time income yet again. But I’m looking forward to being able to teach these simple tips to my fellow business women who are just starting out and don’t yet have the funds to invest in their branding with a designer yet.

That being said, your branding is 100% important for your business and I highly recommend that when your cash flow is more regular that you make the investment with a good designer.

ADULTING LEVEL UP: Lawyer Unlocked! 🔐

The last couple of weeks I have been adulting hard in new ways, but surprisingly one of the best ones is saying that I know have a lawyer!! 👩🏻‍⚖️

Janey from is such a beautiful person and I am so thankful to have her join me on the journey of understanding business laws, especially as I move to incorporate as an official non-profit charitable society! Phew!! 😮‍💨

But the fun thing is that as both buying business owners and self-employed (and humans) we both have so many other things in common and I now count her among my friends.

We had fun cafe hopping the other day for our meetings and apart from all the lawyerish things, it was fun getting to share knowledge with each other on content creation for our businesses!

So her is to the beginning of a beautiful partnership and demystifying the relationship between the law and business 🤩

Fluffy fluff and stuff. 🌾

That’s how my brain has been feeling the past few months as I’ve been consolidating my businesses and relook img at my priorities.

Sarah Hughes Creative is still something I am working in behind the scenes every day but with my current client load my own social media accounts have been a hit neglected! It’s funny how when you’re working at managing someone else’s social accounts that your own take a back step 😅

I promise l you’ll see more of me and my usual social media tips and client work over the next few months as I get back in the groove of paying the things that I care about 🥰
