My daughter Leah and her partner Luke with their amazing Humble Honey business.
I love honey, nature’s liquid gold, and this is the best I’ve ever tasted!
They also make Pure Beeswax Candles, which are awesome!
What an adventure for you two, well done! I’m so proud! ☺️

New logo brand created for Moths and Butterflies of NZ Trust.

The Moths and Butterflies of New Zealand Trust had been looking for a new brand/logo for a long, long time and the process has not been easy.

David from Kawika Design in Tauranga has done us proud! Our new logo symbolises both a butterfly and a moth, and the koru is often used in Māori art as a symbol of creation, based on the shape of an unfurling fern frond. The circular shape conveys the idea of perpetual movement, and the inward coil suggests a return to the point of origin.

According to Māori mythology black represents potential (Te Koekore) and red symbolises Te Whai Ao, or coming into being. All very appropriate as we launched it to coincide with Matariki!

Over the next few months you will see changes in our products, the free e-news and social media and eventually our new website. We hope you like the metamorphosis!

Thank you to David Brown at Kawika Design for our special logo!

History and Meaning Of Our Logo:

The crest pattern symbolises the iconic walnut trees which were planted at Waipuna Park in 1898.

‘Waipuna’ means ‘spring water’. The shape of the tree also stands for the flow of spring water into the Welcome Bay harbour. This is enclosed in the round shape of a football.

Waipuna Football Club started in 1996 and the two stars stand for the club’s upper and lower playing fields.
