We’re incredibly proud of this one.

The new Scenik website was designed and built by FizzyPop to deliver far more than a great first impression.

It’s sleek, highly interactive and packed with custom functionality, including the new Scenik pricing estimator and a purpose-built glass balustrade & glass pool fence calculator. These tools make it easier for customers to understand their options, estimate costs and plan their projects online.

From strategy and user experience through to design, animation, development and custom tools, it’s a strong example of the websites we love to create: visually impressive, easy to use and built around what customers actually need.

Over the past few days, we’ve shared a few of the things Matariki has reminded us about design.

The biggest reminder of all is that learning never really stops.

Thank you to our clients, our community, and to Jack Prichard for his guidance, which continues to shape the way we approach our work.

One thing we’ve learnt is that even an image crop deserves thought.

Within te ao Māori, the upoko is regarded as tapu. That has changed the way we think about selecting, placing, and cropping photography.

It isn’t about following a checklist. It’s about making considered design decisions that respect the people represented.

Sometimes the smallest design decisions can have the biggest impact.

One thing we’ve learnt is that a koru is more than a decorative spiral.

Like many Māori design elements, koru carries meaning. That means koru shouldn’t be added to a design simply because it looks good.

When we use cultural elements, we want them to connect to the story, the people, and the kaupapa behind the project.

Good design is intentional.

Matariki is a time to reflect on the past, appreciate the present, and look ahead.

For us, it’s also a chance to think about what we’ve learnt over the past year.

Working with Māori organisations and alongside our cultural advisor, Jack Pritchard, has changed the way we approach design. It has reminded us that the best work doesn’t come from assumptions. It comes from listening, asking questions, and understanding the people we’re designing for.

Over the course of this week, we’ll be sharing a few of the things we’re still learning, and how they’re shaping the work we create.

Come behind the scenes on our shoot for the Ocean Spa relaunch video.

From drone footage and underwater GoPro shots to time-lapse sequences and multi-camera setups, this project gave us the chance to use a bit of everything.

We love projects like this because they let our team get creative, keep things versatile, and bring plenty of practical problem-solving to every shoot.
