Hi Everyone.

I'm so excited to announce my new Facebook group!

Geometrical Design Secrets – The Community for Decorative Pattern Creators.

Our mission is to create beautiful decorative patterns and to thrive by helping other.
Here you can connect and network with other helpful creatives, learn how to use geometry to create harmonious patterns that always look balanced, and to celebrate your wins and achievements.

We will have creatives from all over the world, all at different stages of their journeys.
So please share your work, ask questions, and lets help each other out.

Our community is what we make it – together!

Since working as a decorative artist and completing my design thesis for my Masters degree in the 1990s, and after many experiences that have since drawn me in different directions, I'm returning to geometrical design because I love to explore what can be achieved when it comes to designing beautiful, well proportioned patterns.

My vision is that some day, passing on our skills and knowledge is the norm. This is so we can pursue our passion, share our gifts and thrive by helping each other.

It's my goal to help 10,000 artists, craftspeople and designers learn the secrets of geometrical design.
If this sounds interesting, comment "I'm in", to join!

This is a 3D test render of a pattern designed by Mohamad Aljanabi. I used Cheetah 3D to create this animation. If you have ever tried creating patterns like this, you may know that it is not easy if you don't know where to start.

There are many Islamic Geometric Design Gurus out there on Instagram, Facebook and Youtube, but few of them understand the traditional methods of construction that have been handed down over the generations by craftsmen. And even fewer understand dynamic symmetry, let alone now what it is.

It's these traditional methods that Mohamad teaches, along with the demonstration of a deep understanding of the geometric ratios ( root-two, root-three, root-four, root-five, and the golden ratio) that the centuries-old traditional patterns embrace.
