I would like to say i am a pretty well rounded creative. With broad knowledge and experience in advertising , all things print, photography and some animation/video. I am currently based in Hawkes Bay and have done a degree many years ago in a Bachelor of Visual Imaging. Reflecting on the year and the incredible projects I’ve had the privilege to be part of. One highlight was creating a brand identity for a new café in Hastings, nestled within Kaweka Hospital. A project fuelled by good coffee ☕️ community in mind and creating a brand that feels approachable and modern.

I recently had the pleasure of creating a warm, natural, and caring brand identity for the wonderful team at Baywide Birthing in Hawke’s Bay 💛

The logo design brings together the ‘B’s in their name while subtly outlining the female form—a reflection of the incredible journey of motherhood. The soft, rounded serif font ensures a modern yet welcoming feel, while the hearts symbolise the special bond between mum and bub.

I hope that this brand is warm and approachable for new mums to be 🥰

As I developed the new identity for a core focus was the logo and in particular, the wordmark.

My aim was to create a wordmark that felt timeless and classic with a country feel. It needed to be a relatively simple look to compliment the sheep iconography - our main feature.

Brand iconography. A brand identity is more than just a logo!

There are layers of meaning behind a well constructed brand that all tie together to align to the core of the brands unique selling point (we call it USP). Iconography is a big part of creating layered meanings that beautifully combine to create meaningful logos.

Elsbeth and Olive is a combination of (olive) and a (house symbol) to firstly and most obviously align with their products (homewares) and secondary create a feeling of peace (olive branch) in your home and maybe in your friendships - if gifting. Their homewares are beautifully curated and natural.
