Our quick guide cuts through the tech speak, so getting started feels a little less daunting and you can get more bang for your ad spend.

The dream is making money while your team sleeps. Google will happily do the heavy lifting on spending your money while they do, so here are a few pointers to fine tune the feedback loop.

Autumn arrived, bringing the perfect opportunity for a campaign encouraging locals to get out and share the places that make our region awesome.

For Nelson Tasman, we created 'My Places, Share Your Local' and went looking for the real deal. No actors pretending to love the place.

Just genuine people out there doing the things that make this region tick. We found local legends like Mark Hadlow and Mike Fitchett, tapped into a few well-connected faces, and somehow even gave Zest’s Anne her own 10 seconds of fame.

In the end, we got outside, met some great people, and captured a few of the stories behind the places locals love.

Southburynewzealand makes Chelsea boots with a secret weapon: steel caps.

We saw the genius. The internet needed to see it.

So Team Digital did what Team Digital does… cranked the volume in all the right places.
Fresh visuals, powerful ads, and a site refresh brought sales, five-star reviews, and happy customers.

700% YoY growth later, our dashboards are lying down somewhere in the Mediterranean with a limoncello.
Honestly, fair.

CTR (Click-Through Rate) tells you if your paid ad stopped the scroll.
CPC (Cost Per Click) tells you what you paid for that click.

One measures how compelling your ad is. The other measures what it costs to get someone to act.

CPC = Total Ad Spend ÷ Total Clicks

Translation: every click is a squeeze of your marketing lemon. Some clicks bring the juice. Some are Dave, mid-sandwich, fighting for his life against a rogue thumb.

Thumb your way through the pages in front of you, tear out something you find interesting then grab the wet sticky glue and smear it on the back before pressing it against the wall.

Find something else strange, cut the paper, stick it on and hope for the best.

There is a meditative practice in choosing within the finite pages of a magazine and a pair of scissors.

This is Alfredo. He’s from Peru. 🇵🇪

Which is convenient, because we’ve got an unhealthy obsession with llamas at Zest.

In the last few weeks he’s survived six flights, 5.30am call times, and enough camera gear to qualify as a pack animal.

While the rest of us were slaving away at the office, Alfredo was somewhere between runways, mountains, sunrises, clients and mounting his 360 camera gadget capturing scenic views.

Lucky for us, this man's built for adventure.

The llamas would approve 😎

Fuelled up on some zesty inspiration juices at the Founders Book Fair.

In a digital world, there's still something special about getting your hands sticky with glue, tearing pages from donated books, and giving them a whole new life.

One looks good on paper, the other keeps the lights on.

ROI = (Net Profit ÷ Total Investment) × 100

Translation: how much juice you got from the marketing lemon 🍋… and whether it was actually worth the sticky hands.
