What do you mean it’s already 2026?!
Last I checked, it was only May!

2025 whizzed by. If I wasn’t working, I was desperately trying to rest and recover… and if I’m being honest, I didn’t always succeed.

This year brought some pretty incredible milestones for Fat Bird Creative, along with some big shifts across the industry. I’m so grateful that I get to do what I love for a living, and I’m really excited to see where things go from here.

As I head into my third year (?!), I can’t wait to keep building brave brands and partnering with amazing people who trust me with their stories.

Lately, I've been seeing a flood of posts from designers (and non-designers) using ChatGPT’s new features to edit their profile pictures, and some of them are pretty amazing. When I saw the "designer action figure" trend, I just had to have a go. They are so adorable!

But while AI tools like ChatGPT can do some fun and flashy things, they’re just that, tools. They are not designers. Take the action figure trend, for example… I’ve seen a wide range of results, some amazing, some a little… let’s say experimental. People chalk it up to the version of ChatGPT they’re using or the prompt used. And sure, those things matter. But I think a lot of it all comes down to the person editing the final results.

AI can absolutely enhance our work, whether it’s copy, images, or strategy, but it’s the human touch that really makes the final product shine.

Whether you love or hate AI, I do feel it's important to stay up-to-date or risk being left behind. Why not have fun while you do it?

✨ Bird’s Eye Re-view ✨ is here!

As Fat Bird Creative wraps up its second Christmas and New Year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the year that was and start dreaming big for 2025.

Here’s a little peek behind the scenes at what’s been happening and just how far this little fat bird has flown! 2024 was packed with exciting projects—some wrapped up beautifully, while others are carrying on into 2025 (and I can’t wait to share those with you!).

Fat Bird Creative will officially be back in action on 13th January, but in the meantime, there’s plenty to spruce up—like the website and socials—because the books are already brimming with projects for when the doors reopen.

A huge thank you to all the amazing clients, friends, and family who’ve supported Fat Bird Creative this year. None of this would be possible without you!

We’re getting lit this Christmas!
Can you believe it’s already Fat Bird Creative’s second Christmas? What a year it’s been!
I’m so proud of the wide range of projects I’ve worked on this year—from business cards to something so big I’m not allowed to talk about it yet! 🤫
Watching my clients’ businesses grow has been just as exciting as creating the designs. I’ve helped long-time clients with rebrands, supported others as they expanded into new locations, and tackled everything from stunning brand identities to website designs. It has been a joy!
As the year comes to an end, it’s time for a well-deserved break.
Fat Bird Creative will be closed from Friday, 20th December, and will reopen on Monday, 13th January.
While I’ll be (hopefully) soaking up the sun, rest assured your messages and enquiries are still important to me. I’ll do my best to respond as promptly as possible.
Wishing everyone in the southern hemisphere a sun-filled holiday and those up north a cosy winter break. See you all in the new year!

It's getting hot in here.....but, please leave your clothes on 😅
I am so excited for the debut of , the newest comedy show bringing improv comedy to the Globe Theatre! Created by the talented Ryan Knighton, this show promises high-energy, hilariously funny performances that’ll have you laughing until it hurts.
When Ryan first told me the name Hot Spot and the unique idea of comedians standing on a literal “hot spot” under the stage lights, I could instantly see the brand come to life. Designing a fun, bright look that captures the vibe of on-the-spot comedy was such a blast!
Opening night is tonight! But if you miss it, don’t worry—shows continue Nov 8, 14, and 15.
