That's a wrap for this term! I have enjoyed my Thursday sewing nights and we have created some really cool stuff - pants, dresses, dog coats, un**es and cute woolen vests! Thank you to those who came.

The sessions will be running again next term, same time Thursdays 7.30-9. I'm amending format slightly in that price will be reduced to $50 for the term (so $5 a session) and no tutor so it's more of time to come and sew whatever project you feel like (although if you need help I'll be happy to provide some assistance). There is limited spots, so if your keen pm the page to book your place 😊

Come join me for some winter vest sewing. I'll be running a workshop 26th of May which is perfect timing as winter kicks in and its starting to get quite chilly! We will be making a kids vest using a free pattern from Little Kiwi Closet, which is perfect for up-cycling woollen blankets and other textiles. I've made the one in the photo from a woollen blanket and a cotton sheet, all found at a local opshop! BYO fabrics or choose from my stash of up-cycled materials. Suitable for beginner sewers and those wanting to learn. There are even machines available if you need to borrow one. Link for booking in the comments. This will be fun!!

Workshops! I hope to run a couple of workshops through Stitched Up and I've been in planning mode figuring out what to run. More finalized details to be revealed soon, but it's likely to be a kids vest workshop and a sustainable home focused one making items such as shopping totes, produce bags and cloth wipes. Susan is also keen to run a dog coat making workshop 🐕. I also want to get a sewing project group up and running on Thursday nights, with a tutor and we can work on projects together with their help if needed. If your interested for any those things let me know otherwise stay posted and post further info when I have it for booking :)
