Are you using QR codes correctly?

I often see QR codes shared in social media posts — but here’s the catch: if someone’s already on their phone (which is most people scrolling social media), they can’t scan the code!

QR codes are designed for print – like business cards, flyers, packaging, or posters – where people can easily scan and go straight to your link without typing it out (and risking typos or dead ends).

My go-to generator is QR Code Monkey (qrcode-monkey.com) — it’s free, easy to use, and their codes don’t expire.

I’ve had clients send me QR codes made through other tools, only to discover they stopped working after 12 months… not ideal!

So, save yourself the hassle and use your QR codes where they’re meant to shine – in print, not posts.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared anything here — truthfully, I’ve been enjoying the quiet.


Not every season needs to be loud or full of content; some are for observing, reflecting, and quietly creating.

I’ve been thinking about how creativity ebbs and flows – some weeks it’s all ideas and energy, and others it’s stillness.

Both are needed. Both are part of the process.

I’ve still been designing behind the scenes, taking my time, and letting things unfold at their own pace.


And somewhere in the middle of it all, I snuck away for a sunny escape to Australia with my family – a much-needed dose of warmth, rest, and perspective ☀️

Excited to show off Lorraine’s new site too ~ a health and wellness coach in Wellington.

Bringing together Lorraine’s website involved ensuring all her services were fully covered, and we’re still developing the site to bring in other elements of her coaching. It will be a site which grows with Lorraine as we continue to ensure all her offerings are showcased fully.
