A Heartfelt Thank You from New Zealand Pug Rescue ❤

I am still trying to come to grips with the overwhelming kindness, concern, and generosity that has been shown over the past week.

The support from this incredible community has left me in tears more than once - tears of relief, gratitude, and sheer amazement at how many people care about these precious Rescue Pugs.

The burden I've been carrying - worrying about how to pay vet bills, buy food for the Pugs, and cover the basic supplies, has been lifted in a way I never imagined possible.

Thanks to your generosity I have been able to pay the outstanding vet bill, order dog food, and get the essentials, without the stress of waiting for pension day. It's a massive weight off my shoulders, allowing me to now focus more on the task of finding a new place for us to all live.

I honestly don't have the right words to express just how much this means, not just to me but to every Pug in our care at Pug Rescue HQ. Your kindness has given me the strength to keep going when things have felt impossibly hard.

From the bottom of my heart - thank you. Thank you for believing in what we do. Thank you for standing by us. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Please help if you can💕

This post is a hard one for me to do. I'm of the old school of getting on with the job and I've put it off but time to rip the sticking plaster away and get it done.

Pug Rescue has reached the point where I seriously have to consider closing the door.
Reason one: our rescue fund is broke. I'm now trying to feed the Pugs as well as pay the vet bills.
I've been picking up the pieces, and lives of Pugs, from too many owners who aren't honest in their representations, and who also fail to contribute financially. I do my best to help the Pugs regardless, because they aren't the problem and are often the victims. However it's no longer sustainable.

Reason two: in spite of having understood otherwise, we now need to find somewhere else to live before the end of the year. A pretty big and daunting task. Needless to say there have been a few sleepless nights, and will be more to come.

I will continue to do as much as I can but there has to be a limit.
