Produced close to home in Wānaka and with serious momentum in the U.S. (achieving fastest-growing vodka brand status for three consecutive years), Broken Shed recently released a new 1.75L bottle that called for special edition box packaging.
Swordfox developed a wrap-style design where the mountain forms carry seamlessly around the box and continue through the inside once opened, giving the whole piece a more considered, cohesive and premium feel.
To add depth, we introduced a subtle tonal geometric mountain repeat through the background - a refined detail that lifts the pack without taking attention away from the core brand elements.
As with any alcohol packaging project, the creative also had to be technically precise. The artwork was carefully prepared to meet print production standards and legal packaging requirements, ensuring the finished result was as resolved in production as it was in concept.
Broken Shed has built its name on a clean, premium product story, so it was important that the packaging reflected that. Sustainably sourced and made with just three ingredients - two of them water: New Zealand ancient mineral-rich aquifer water and filtered spring water, plus gluten-free certified thrice-distilled whey. The vodka is non-GMO, with no additives, no added sugars, and no sweeteners.
A strong local project for a brand proving that world-class products can be made by our mountains.
