In order to walk in the anointing of The Holy Spirit, we need to let go and forget basically everything we know. Especially ourselves, our problems, our situations our circumstances, and others even just for a short time. Let him the person of The Holy Spirit take over offer ourselves up to him, have fellowship with by saying things like "help me hear what you want me to hear, help me say what you want me to say, help me see what you want me to see". Set aside all distractions as they can hinder hearing and seeing in the Spirit (no phones, no kids, no plans, no worries just the wonderful person the Holy Spirit. Let him take over and consume you for a time it's wonderful and amazing. You, the Lord, bless you in the wonderful name of Jesus. Amen 🙏
My morning devotion here's some scriptures to back it up.
Galatians 2:20
"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."*
Romans 8:5-6
"For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace."
Offering Ourselves to the Holy Spirit
Romans 12:1-2"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.."
2 Corinthians 3:17
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."*
3. Fellowship with the Holy Spirit
John 14:26"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
1 Corinthians 2:10-12"These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
Ephesians 5:18"And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit."*
4. Setting Aside Distractions to Focus on the Holy Spirit
Psalm 46:10"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!"
Luke 5:16 "But he would withdraw to desolate places and pray." (Jesus Himself withdrew from distractions to commune with the Father.)
Matthew 6:6 "But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you."
5. Letting the Holy Spirit Take Over and Lead
Acts 2:4 "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance."
Romans 8:14 "For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God."
Zechariah 4:6 "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts."
This is a great reminder to fully yield to the Holy Spirit, setting aside all distractions and allowing Him to lead and guide us. May the Lord bless you as you seek deeper fellowship with Him!
