What a fantastic Greening Taupō Day we had last week. The rain definitely didn’t hold off, but it didn’t stop the fun or the incredible community spirit.

Mātanga Projects was proud to be a sponsor again this year, running two free activities for tamariki — Colour a Native Bird and Guess the Lollies in the Jar.

A huge congratulations to our winner, Lily Bennet from RM25 at Taupō Intermediate School, who nailed the lolly count and took home the prize.

Thank you to everyone who braved the weather, got stuck in, and helped make Taupō a little greener.

Mātanga Projects has been engaged by Sheeran Associates Ltd. to deliver civil design, project management, and MSQA services for the Ōhaaki Marae papakāinga development.

The papakāinga includes four homes elevated above existing ground level to mitigate flood risk, reflecting the site’s proximity to the Waikato River.

We are proud to be working on another papakāinga project alongside Sheeran Associates, supporting resilient and culturally significant housing outcomes for the community 🏘️.

In support of the trades that keep Taupō thriving, Mātanga Projects is proud to sponsor the Trades category at this year’s Stella Awards, revealed last night at the Stella Launch event here in Taupō 🎉

The Stella Awards are a biennial celebration of the very best businesses across the Taupō District, recognising those who go the extra mile for their customers, give back to the community, and help make our region a place people genuinely want to be.

With nine award categories on offer, we’re excited to back the Trades category, celebrating the true Tradie Titans of our district. From builders, electricians and plumbers to engineers, gasfitters, welders, mechanics and landscapers, these businesses are the backbone of Taupō, keeping the water running, the lights on, and everything ticking along smoothly.
