I’m closing this page down as, in a few weeks, the whānau and I head off to Blighty on a big adventure and I will close my wee arts PR business 🫶

So many events, so many memories, and SO MUCH FUN.

The pictures below are a tribute to the little performer who built the foundations for me to have such a cool career in the arts. 🥰

I finish up my projects at the end of August. For now, though, there’s a spectacular 2024 WOW Show: DREAM AWAKE to get on stage, some beautiful RNZB ballets to tour, and more than 100 films to get on screen for the NZIFF 2024! 🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️

Keep in touch, whānau! [email protected]

From next week, 36 esteemed jurors from across the globe will descend on Tāmaki Makaurau to judge the 2024 World Choir Games, including this legend, the 'Godfather of a ca****la', Deke Sharon. It is my perception that Deke is the World's Most Fun Person, and I COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED.

Hollywood's go-to choral whiz is in Auckland in July as a World Choir Games judge and workshop host. Bryan Crump - himself a conductor - learns about his journey.

This morning saw the first TV interview for Whānau Mārama New Zealand International Film Festival 2024. Thank you, TVNZ 1 Breakfast.

And what a way to kick off - with the long-anticipated 'The Haka Party Incident', a labour of love for director and co-producer Katie Wolfe and her team, including co-producer Tim Balme.

The documentary follows nationwide tours of the incredible verbatim play version in recent years and is the result of hours, years - over a decade! - of important mahi. This film is going to be electric.

The 2024 NZIFF opens in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington on 31 July before touring to nine other centres across the country until 4 September.

"It’s guardianship, custodianship. We’re all passing through. We need to be aware of what’s come before and respect that, and in everything we do be preparing for what’s to come after. You won’t be here forever, and need to make sure you leave the place in a really great state for the next person.” - Royal New Zealand Ballet Artistic Director Ty King-Wall had a beautiful kōrero with Australian dance writer Deborah Jones when she was here to see the RNZB's Swan Lake a few weeks ago. 🩰 (Click below)
