Always love my Friday mornings with my buddies at BNI First, Tauranga, NZ 🤗

Today was my first time presenting and being more excited than nervous for my 10min slot. Easy to lose time when you work with amazing organisations. I featured work created in collab with a few local charities - humbled to be helping so many awesome humans.

Special thanks to my guests for coming to support me and meet everyone else in the room. And a big chur to Marc Bay of Plenty Garden & Art Festival for donating some 1-Day Festival Passes to some lucky winners - enjoy your adventure in November.

Ginger Tabby original watercolour has gone to it's new home today 🐯 Thank you Geoffrey from The Why Marketing for picking my fave painting of the Animal Art Series after winning a voucher at our recent BNI First, Tauranga, NZ Hospice fundraiser evening. Our group raised $5k for Hospice NZ – Living Every Moment by hosting a casino night.

I still 🥰 the and story when crafting a logo and brand kit. Here's the finished logo for Anna Hawkins with some process highlights.

Anna wanted a consistent font for her name and kit that would give her the freedom to change supporting imagery or graphics to suit future albums.

THE RESULT:
2x custom wordmark logos with long and stacked variations.

Inspired by a classical font style - Didone - with wide feet and a
timeless elegance. This style of letters gives a nod to her classical vocal training, and being all in capitals they
capture attention in a refined manner.

In the alternate logo, Hawkins features in a relaxed handwritten font representing creative expression, experimentation and new discoveries.

The Brand kit is rounded out with Articulat CF; a versatile, charismatic Swiss based typeface featuring 9x styles with italics, designed by Connary Fagen. Accented with Morning Dew regular by Locomotype.

The muted colour palette is inspired by nature.

Floral graphics are an extra, intended for use with the . They can be used as a pattern or to extend the album aesthetic across marketing material.

I love how humble the lark is and what a beautiful song it sings. And I’ve loved working with Anna to take the concept from a rough sketch to finished art.

Anna chose a lark as her divine guide, leaving a free form trail on the wind.

The flora represent dreams, adventures, lessons, inspiration, some of which wrap into her hair.

This is a metaphor for arriving and being where you need to be. Connecting to nature and divine wisdom. Choosing open spaces and freedom to explore.
