We are totally heartbroken for our friend and colleague Chloe. All our thoughts and love are with her, Nīkora and their family and friends.

Thank you to those who have reached out to us and sent their aroha for Chloe. A Givealittle page has been launched for those who would like to donate at this incredibly hard time.

Waitangi Day is an opportunity to reflect on what is considered to be the founding document of Aotearoa, and what it means to be a New Zealander today.

It is news to no one that COVID-19 has shaped the way we communicate with each other over the past two years. If we take anything away from this pandemic, it’s that human beings are incredibly adaptable; and so too are our ways of connecting and communicating with each other. Like the rise of the ...

In a moment of crisis, who are you going to call? For the last two years in Aotearoa, it was Dr Ashley Bloomfield whenever our government needed to communicate decisions around COVID-19. He has been a good example of how important it is to have an engaging spokesperson in times of crisis. We take a deeper look at what makes an effective spokesperson in our latest blog.

When asking a New Zealander what they associate with COVID-19, you’d likely get a list that looks a bit like this: lockdowns, vaccination, and Dr Ashley Bloomfield. The Director-General of Health became a familiar face to many during the pandemic. While Aotearoa stayed home to save lives during th...

The Communicating in NZ Conference was held online this week and our Chief Executive and Director, Scott Campbell shared an important kōrero with attendees about partnering with iwi and hapū. A key part of engaging with Māori is having the ability to connect kanohi ki te kanohi (face to face) and we all know that doing this in a virtual setting can be challenging, but Scott "broke" the conference Zoom rules and asked everyone to turn their cameras on to be able to connect with his audience. A handy tip for others who may be having challenges connecting in a virtual environment 💻 Kia ora to all who attended the session and to Brightstar for putting on a fantastic conference.

We're bringing our 'Meet the C2 Whānau' series back for our newest Senior Consultant Natalie.

Natalie has recently joined us from NZ’s creative capital, Wellington, a city she’s done two separate stints in and where her career in the communications industry began seven years ago.

A lover of words and visual communications, Natalie is all about creating engaging content and effective storytelling. She has a broad range of experience delivering change and internal communications, marketing campaigns, crisis communications and media relations. Joining us from Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, Natalie delivered communications on two internal change programmes and marketed the University’s postgraduate study offerings.

Natalie is also our go-to local government guru, having worked in internal communications for Wellington City Council, marketing events and venues for New Plymouth District Council, and providing corporate communications for a council in Melbourne. Sadly, her time in Melbourne was cut short due to the pandemic – but, happily for us, is ultimately the reason for her moving to the Bay of Plenty this year with her husband.

She is thrilled to be joining the team at Campbell Squared where she can use her varied communications background to add value for our clients. Born and raised on the East Coast, Natalie is also stoked to be living in Tauranga where she’s only a short drive from her hometown of Gisborne. Since moving here in January, she’s been enjoying our beaches, exploring our many eateries, and capturing our beautiful city on her camera.
