Print isn’t dead - It’s operating at a higher strategic level than ever before.

In a world of constant notifications, infinite scrolling and screen overload, attention has become the scarcest resource of all.

Digital fatigue is now at an all‑time high — and Kiwis are feeling it.

📉 56% of New Zealanders are concerned that the overuse of electronic devices could be damaging to their health (Toluna, 2021) (1)

📱 50% of NZers say they spend too much time on electronic devices (Love Paper) (1)

At the same time, research continues to show that print delivers significantly stronger comprehension than screens.

🧠 A major University of Valencia study, reported by Axios, found that reading in print can improve comprehension by up to eight times compared to on‑screen reading (2).

That’s not nostalgia.

That’s neuroscience.

Print slows us down.

It reduces cognitive load.

It encourages deeper processing, stronger recall, and more meaningful engagement.

In an always‑on digital environment, print now plays a premium role — not as a replacement for digital, but as a powerful complement to it.

The smartest brands aren’t asking ‘print or digital’.

They’re asking ‘where does print work hardest’?

Because when everything is fleeting,

the tangible becomes memorable.

We’re proud to support brands that put people first. , founded by husband‑and‑wife team Liam Messam and Monique Corbett, believe brain health should be a priority for everyone.

The former pro athlete and clinical psychologist duo have built 1082 Performance around research‑backed supplements designed to support long‑term brain health, cognitive function and physical performance, helping people perform at their best, now and into the future.

What truly sets 1082 Performance apart is their unwavering dedication to quality. Every supplement is crafted using premium ingredients and manufactured in New Zealand to ensure exceptional potency and purity.

We loved bringing their vision to life with premium label production that reflects the quality, science and care behind the brand.

To gain maximum on-shelf impact, these labels are printed in full colour on a silver adhesive with laminate and spot varnish. The choice of materials and finishes complement the high potency and premium quality of the product and reflect the brand values of a company that believes in using only the best ingredients to help people perform at their peak.

🌙 After hours at 50 Kaweroa Drive… and we’re nearly there.

Our new factory is in the final throes of construction. Almost complete and just about ready for move‑in day.

The 3,100sqm purpose-built facility in the Tauriko Business Estate brings our two Tauranga factories together under one roof, giving us the space, capability and flexibility to grow into the future.

Sustainability is a key part of this milestone. With 432 solar panels on the roof, the site is geared to generate 106% of our energy needs, powering the factory and reinforcing our commitment to a more sustainable operation.

As you can imagine, relocating an entire factory doesn’t happen overnight. We’ll begin the complex process of moving our machinery progressively over the coming weeks. Supported by detailed planning and specialist engineering teams, to ensure we remain fully operational throughout.

We’re incredibly proud to share this milestone with you and can’t wait to reveal the finished site very soon.

Think that going digital means going green? 💚🌍

While electronic communication is often promoted as the eco-friendlier option, it comes with real environmental costs including;

🔌 Huge electricity demand
🏭 Development of large scale buildings for industrial servers
🚰 Significant water consumption for cooling data centres
💻 Rising volumes of electronic waste

💚🌳 Meanwhile, paper comes from sustainably managed forests that are managed under strict regulation and is easily recycled.

As an FSC® certified printer, Kale Print ensures your paper comes from sustainable sources, following a strict chain of custody.

It’s time to rethink the assumption that digital is always greener 🤔

Hello 2026! And hello to Pantone’s Colour of the Year:
PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer.

Each year, the Pantone Colour Institute examines global trends, cultural shifts, and the emotional influence of colour to identify the shade that best reflects the moment we’re in.

Recent years brought us Mocha Mousse (2025) and Peach Fuzz (2024) — colours that captured themes of comfort and connection.

For 2026, Cloud Dancer invites us to pause, reset, and begin again from a place of peace.

Why Cloud Dancer?
✨ Symbolises tranquillity and renewed focus
✨ Offers a versatile foundation across design disciplines
✨ Reflects a cultural longing for quiet reflection and thoughtful creativity
✨ Creates mental “white space” that encourages innovation

Here’s to a year defined by spacious thinking and fresh ideas!

How will you reflect the global collective mood in your marketing communications for 2026?
