The Wanaka Info Guide is a magazine provided free of charge to accommodation providers. The photo comp is back! If you have a great shot that represents Wanaka, whether it's of That Wanaka Tree, the market, on a hike, a bike, enjoying a day out with one of our local activity providers, or you and your friends enjoying lunch at a local eatery, submit your photo and go in the draw to win a night out on us!
Please email [email protected] with a high-resolution image and include your name and telephone number to go into the draw. Each photo counts as a separate entry, so get snapping Wanaka! Entries close 15 Sept.
Please note by entering the competition you are giving consent for your photos to be used in print and online publication.

If you have a B&B/Airbnb, hotel, motel, or hostel, then pick up your free copies from our office at 11 Brownston Street.

The Guide is produced annually and free of charge to local accommodation providers. This is the ‘go to guide’ of where to go and what to do when visiting our beautiful region.

The Messenger office will be closed from Friday, 23 December 2022
and will reopen on Wednesday, 4 January 2023.

Be part of the 2023 Wanaka Info Guide

What is the Wanaka Info Guide?
The Wanaka Info Guide has been informing visitors for 31 years, it is a premium magazine distributed annually and free of charge to the guest rooms of local accommodation providers. This is the ‘go to guide’ of where to go, what to do, where to dine and shop when visiting our beautiful region. Include your business so visitors know who you are, what you offer and where to find you.

Remember what it is like to arrive at your destination, pour a drink or make a cup of tea and look through a room compendium to see what is available? With borders open again, now is the time to promote your business to our new and returning visitors.

We understand that many local businesses are suffering from financial hardship due to reduced tourism. We have kept our rates as low as possible for the 2023 issue, so you can ensure that your business is included. The advertising rates are for a full year of advertising, with the Info Guides appearing in the rooms before Christmas and being replenished throughout the year.

What is the cost?
Single A4 page - $595 +gst
Double A4 page spread - $895 +gst
Entry in the business and service directory - $70 +gst (FREE for full page advertisers)

Our graphic designer can help with that! To assist our advertisers, we are including FREE design time with your booking.
