Some well overdue images of Mr & Mrs Issue 9. This issue features an image from Mel Waite Photography on the cover. Each issue this is a very difficult decision — we like use images that others might not. Mel's image is really graphic and the feature couple's (Naomi & Ash) stroll up the ridge nicely symbolises the journey they'll take together.
This year Wellington Wedding Show will be publishing Issue 10, this is a incredible achievement. When we first started this project the internet had already taken over and all the wedding magazines were glossy carbon copies of one another. Right from the start The Wellington Wedding Show were daring enough to set their own direction, the idea being that we'd create something uniquely Wellington, simple, arty and stylish and it would be free.
In 2012 we entered Mr & Mrs Issue 2 in the New Zealand Best Design Awards, amazingly were selected as finalists. To this day Mr & Mrs magazine is the only wedding magazine to achieve this (not many magazines of any kind have). I cant wait to start the process all over again with Issue 10, thank you Paula and Charlotte for your incredible trail blazing attitudes, and thanks to all the talented Wellington photographers, suppliers and advertisers who make this possible.
