Through a Hendrix–like daze I love to add technicolour hazes and stylised lines to everything from exotic animals to creepy comic-book characters. I developed a wild passion for art from a young age with nurturing from both of my artistic parents. My artistic style has spiralled from the pop–art culture of cartoon into a mature artist’s projection of modern pop–culture with a twist of kitsch. I li

ke to think that my style is edgy with the reappearing use of shadows, stylised faces with large ‘knowing’ eyes; while playing with my audience pro–offering amusement and fantasy through my use of a psychedelic backgrounds. One of my main influences is artist Mark Ryden, based in the US, who creates polished works of great enchantment. I also love to delve into manipulating my art through digital media adding new dimension to my work. My art is a delicious box of tricks, wrapped in pink ribbon and filled with chocolate hairy frogs! I make and sell prints, stickers, bags, cards and other goodies at the Underground Wellington Markets every Saturday. Come visit me along with all the other stall holders.
