🚨 We’re hiring - and it’s a brilliant first step into events + marketing!

Know someone smart, organised and keen to get stuck in? We’re looking for entry-level team member to join us at Verve – a creative marketing agency that delivers high-impact events all over NZ.

This is a hands-on support role across admin, logistics and on-site event work. Perfect for a final-year student or someone with an interest in marketing/events– someone who wants real-world experience in a small, sharp, fun agency.
🔹 Based in Wellington (Cuba Street office)
🔹 Travel around NZ required
🔹 Clean driver’s licence essential
🔹 Part-time or full-time considered
🔹 They must love lists, logistics and learning

We’ll teach, mentor, and expose them to all the magic that makes events hum - from behind-the-scenes prep to onsite buzz.

Here's Greg hard at work doing what he does best - talking to people! We recently completed research for the MTA - looking at their events. It's great working with clients like these folks who go out to find what their people want BEFORE creating an event. It's the perfect way to give your people what they want and ensure you get the biggest bang for your event buck.

Another successful celebration created! This time, it was the Transpower Engineering and Technology Excellence Awards, but it doesn't matter what excellence is celebrated. We love a good awards show. Recognising the best in your people is important, especially at a time when so many people are being let go. It's one thing to put your company values on a document; it's another to actually acknowledge those people who embody them.

While delivering Transpower's Engineering and Technology Excellence Awards on Tuesday night, we were reminded of the importance of a strong event identity. A strong brand for your event gives it an added sense of specialness (important for an awards event). It also distinguishes things from your main brand and allows you to go further than your main business brand can go. In this case, Transpower's brand is about reliability, expertise and connection. Their event brand goes beyond this to add a sense of celebration.

For your next business event think about how the event goes beyond your main brand and look at creating an identity that communicates this to your guests.

We don't always post about the events we do at Verve because we are just as interested in what goes into the event before and after. But this one is pretty interesting!

When you've got a room full of people from all over the world, representing agencies like the US Space Force, the UN Office for Out of Space Affairs and the European Space Agency all in one spot talking about subjects like Lunar GPS, then it's worth mentioning, right?

Last week Jacob, Greg and Roz helped Alzheimers New Zealand with their final Repositioning Dementia event for the year. Equal sized crowds in site and online having great discussions about helping those living with dementia.
