Maaaaan posting that first video was hard. The hardest out of any of them too!

Legend status 🫡

While all the focus has been on Tim Payne’s social media over the past week…

We’ve also had another kiwi make history by becoming the most capped player of all time 👏

Chris Wood is one of NZ’s most well known players, having been based over in England for the past 18 years - last year even being the fourth top scorer in the English Premier League 🤯

Massive achievement, and totalling 45 goals in 89 international games too!

The thing that I’ve always loved about sport is that there are SO many stories to be told.

Every team - from professional all the way social teams - have their own memories and moments from throughout the season worth celebrating!

It always amazes me reading through each messages - always seems to be such a cool range of requests for these posters and so grateful to be able to help!

In the past week, there’s been three sports come in that that I’ve not created for before - fire brigade volunteering, dragon boating, and surf life saving!

Two of these were commissioned to celebrate the teams achievements, while the third was commissioned as a cool thank you piece to give to their sponsors 🥹💙

Grateful to be able to do this every day, and here are a few from the past week!

Athletes are missing out on sponsorship… 🥲

There’s a reason why all professional sports teams leverage design and content for sponsorship…

But there’s also a reason this isn’t as prominent in the athlete space, particularly in individual sports!

It’s not because it’s not effective, it’s simply because teams naturally employ people in these roles full time, to manage prominent the team (and therefore all 20+ athletes within that team).

Individual sport athletes then need to find creative ways to still leverage this type of sponsorship - to help cover travel, competitions, equipment and more.

We all know the value of content - both static and video - but likewise athletes should be able to simply focus on performing too, which is why I love helping out our athletes!

Excited for the season ahead!

What a pleasure last week to get to sit down WITH Hurricanes player Bailyn Sullivan, and create artwork together to celebrate his 50th match coming up that weekend!

Always looking to find new ways to help connect and tell athletes' stories – you may have seen the live artwork we've been doing at games, but now live artwork WITH the players too!

Such a special evening chatting through his career to date, favourite moments and memories, and everything both on and off the field.

First time a professional player has got to have the opportunity to help shape and create their own milestone artwork ☺️
