These minimalist beauties make your plants shine, a fantastic alternative to macrame, and WHK made 👏

Why hello! It's been a long while. I am starting to pick up some work again after having a break to focus on myself and my family so here I am.

Some more design in the real world. I worked with Kirsten from Protein Punch on these labels for a new product. Pretty pleased with the outcome!

You have to be careful with food labels as there are restrictions on what can and can't be on there which can prove a bit challenging.

Protein Punch is a refreshing protein drink that is an alternative to a protein shake. I can attest to its yumminess!

HANG'N TURNS ONE!!

One year ago yesterday I released my hang'n babies into the world. I was nervous! Putting anything of yourself out into the world is a BIG deal. Fear of rejection. Of being called not good enough. Of things going wrong and it entirely being on you.

I have made mistakes along the way but overall hang'n has been a success and I have learnt a lot.

I've learnt about the generosity of strangers to get behind your ideas.

I've learnt a lot more about pricing strategy, how to approach retailers and marketing.

And I've learnt that if you have an idea - go for it! If it fails you will not have failed because you'll better for all that you've learnt along the way.

What does purple mean to you?

Colour psychology is how different colours convey information and affect your mood and behaviours. This is something that should be incorporated into any design work.

Purple, for example, has associations of wealth, luxury, creativity and mystery. Are these things you want your brand to say?

Time for a FACTOID... 🤓

Purple's association with wealth is a throwback to pre-synthetic dyes/inks when the substance used to make purple came from a particular sea snail found in the Mediterranean. Not surprisingly it was excessively expensive to produce so could only be afforded by the very rich. Tuck that wee fact away for a quiz night. 😉

THE C WORD

No not covid you sillies... I mean Christmas! Yes it is fast approaching. And this is just a heads up... hang'n has been lacking the last few months due to life and having more design work (yay!) I hoped to have a bit of a stockpile of hang'n to do some markets and promos but am fast realising that ain't gonna happen.

So... if you're wanting a hang'n for a special person in your life (which 100% could be you!) please either purchase via Felt or me sooner rather than later so I have time to make them for you.

Is your logo in need of a revamp?

HCF Finance are a newly launched finance company. They had a logo but realised it didn't convey the values and ethos of the company. Remember a logo is often the first thing a potential customer will see so it's important for it to say what you want it to!

We modernised the fonts and ensured the logo represents the level of professionalism and trust that is so important in the finance industry.
