CONTRA COSTA WATER DISTRICT NOTICE OF BOARD VACANCY
Effective April 23, 2022, a vacancy exists on the Board of Directors of the Contra Costa Water District due to the resignation of Division 1 Director Lisa M. Borba. On April 20, 2022, the Board decided that it will appoint a successor, and confirmed that Thursday, May 19, 2022, is the deadline for applications. Successful candidates will be notified on May 27, 2022, and invited to a public interview on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. The Board intends to appoint the new Director on either Wednesday, June 1, or Wednesday, June 16, 2022. The Division 1 Director’s seat will be placed on the ballot for the upcoming general election on November 8, 2022. The appointed new Director will hold office until the results of that election are certified.
Applications are available for any registered voter who reside within the Division 1 boundaries. Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022, by mail or in-person at
the Contra Costa Water District, 1331 Concord Ave, Concord, CA 94520 or via email to [email protected] Applications and any additional information, including residency verifications, can be obtained by calling the District Secretary (925) 688-8024 or online at www.ccwater.com.
Division 1 includes the District’s service area in the cities and communities of Concord, Pacheco, Clyde, Bay Point, parts of Pittsburg, and unincorporated areas of Contra Costa County. A Division 1 map can be found at www.ccwater.com and will be included in the application packet.
