MORE women in Lae are now pursuing floriculture as a full-time business, instead of selling flowers on an ad hoc basis, says Friends of Lae Botanic Gardens president Ruby Yamuna.

Yamuna said this had been evident in their annual flower shows, where florists showcase their produce for sales, while being judged in various categories, including garden and flora, trees and shrubs, fruits, vegetables and herbs, cut flowers and floral arrangements and ferns.
