Abau District
Rigo District
Hiri Koiari District
Goilala District
Hiri District
Kairuku District
These Six districts in the Central Province are vital for the effective operation of the National Capital District. The main point is that understanding and respect should be prioritized in all actions and communications.
Central Province is a truly exceptional region, made up of unique individuals, a reality that the other 21 provinces need to acknowledge.
The National Capital District is located right at the heart of Central Province, and Port Moresby alone cannot handle the surge of people from various provinces chasing their aspirations. Central Province plays a crucial role in helping to accommodate this increasing population.
We, the residents of Central Province, open our arms to everyone. We grasp the true meaning of humanity and even extend our resources, including land, water, electricity, local food, crops, and much more. Such kindness is not often seen in other provinces, but it is a defining characteristic of Central Province, as we embody Papua New Guinea's motto, 'One People, One Country.' You will not find the streets crowded with youths from Central Province engaging in bullying or street vending; such incidents are uncommon because we have been brought up with different principles. We think not only of ourselves but also of others.
While it may be tempting to blame the government for the negative issues we observe, such as looting and increasing crime rates, we recognize that government shortcomings do exist, as they affect towns and cities, complicating daily life and driving individuals towards criminal behavior for survival.
Nevertheless, every problem has a solution. If each province works to meet its obligations and collaborates with others, we can exchange ideas, put aside our differences and beliefs, and, with God's grace and guidance, we as a nation can create positive change.
