The Municipal Population Office headed by Ms. Clemyrlene T. Joaquin, Nutrition Officer II/MPO Designate, conducted Parent Teen Talk Roll-Out Session at Victoria High School on February 19, 2025 at 8:00 am headed by the ever supportive Ms. Philina M. Pastor, Master Teacher II/Cluster Head, with the collaborative effort of Ms. Leny T. Pucya, Guidance Counselor. This program aims to educate and enhance the skills of parents as well as adolescents in a two-way communication about sexual and reproductive health concerns. This is a very significant as a school and community-based interactive session among parents and adolescents to improve communication skills between them. It is also a way to provide accurate and age appropriate information about sexual and reproductive health and other development-oriented concerns to prevent teen pregnancy among adolescents.
The activity was conducted successfully through the technical assistance from Commission on Population and Development Region II headed by Ms. Melani L. Perez, Population Program Officer III and Technical Division Head together with her staff Ms. Diana Rose M. Manangan, Information Officer II, Michael James Luis Borja, Planning Officer I,Mr. Alan Paul S. Besa, Family Planning and Capacity Development Coordinator, and from Provincial Population Office headed by Mr. Froilan B. Herrera, Population Program Officer IV, with his staff Ms. Cleofe C. Ordinarion, Population Program Officer I, Ms. Juvilyn Romero, Office Staff and Mr. Jaypee A. Martinez. Moreover, all MPOs from the 6 municipalities of Quirino with their staff , also served as facilitators in the said activity.
