The icon is a simplified version of the current Palarong Pambansa seal, symbolizing the 20 participants (18 Regional Athletic Associations, National Academy of Sports, and Philippine Schools Overseas) competing to be the best in the country.

The icon is based on the club's thriving youth academy, ADA, which has an image of a dog, inspired by the national team's former nickname, the Azkals. Two street dogs were formed to make a subtle letter "M," to connote Manila as their home base. Meanwhile, the stylized Philippine sun represents one of the club's main goals of producing talents that will don the national team colors in the future.
