Nowadays, short-form videos are attracting the attention of a wide audience online. Though everyone like videos, not all people can agree to them.
Here we will discuss the pros and cons of this issue.
📍CONS
✅Limited time - you won't be able to get the entire message across in under one minute. Everything has to be broken down in micro-topics.
✅Broad audience - this makes it harder to w**d out who's really interested in your product/service and who's just there for the hype.
✅Not effective for all types of content - sure it works for some content but not for every niche and not for every business
✅Time-consuming to create - let's face it, business owners or business people don't really have the time to shoot videos. Not everyday at least and not unless you're a content creator who does this for a living.
📍PROS
✅Easy to distribute across platforms - Compared to the traditional videos, short-form videos are easier to distribute across different platforms. They will most likely be posted on multiple platforms, even on several accounts, which can ease their distribution process and boost the number of views.
✅Perfect to hold attention - The content is easier to digest and easy to consume.
✅Perfect to use for content pillars - saves you time from creating infographics, static posts and carousels.
✅Performs better with Social Media algorithm - When it comes to social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube, the algorithm rewards shorter videos by staying visible on a newsfeed for longer amounts of time.
Whether we love them or hate them, short-form videos are here to stay. It's vital to use this type of content to our advantage by creating value, knowing where and when to use them and who to expose them to.
