As our advertising journey comes to an end, we are humbled to be filled with gratitude as we celebrate a significant milestone achieved by Meraki Productions as the agency received a total of 19 𝐍𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐧 5 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 during the recently concluded PASAYOD NIGHT at L'fisher Hotel last May 31, 2024.

𝐖𝐨𝐧 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐮𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐃𝐂𝐎𝐍'𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Four out of eight talented members of Meraki Productions had the opportunity to showcase their skills and represent the University of St. La Salle-Pasayod at this year's Advertising Convention with the theme 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗵𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 held at the University of the Philippine Visayas - Iloilo City Campus on April 27-28. The event provided insights into the creative world of marketing and advertising while celebrating the local culture and scene through talks, workshops, and fun activities. Delegates from Meraki Productions consists of 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨, 𝐉𝐡𝐚𝐳𝐳𝐦𝐲𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐉𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫, 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐔𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚.

The convention was divided into two parts. On the first day, the focus was on 𝗨𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲: 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. Participants had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how culture is integrated into marketing to create an impact and strengthen connections and branding. Renowned speakers including Frances Anthea Redison from Global Likha, who shared culturally sensitive marketing strategies, and Eulah Araullo from Canva PH, who led a creativity and design workshop, were present.

On the other hand, the second day of the convention centered around 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲. The event featured an insightful series of talks through experts, including Audrey Carpio from Vogue Philippines, who shared her expertise in writing and publishing through Publikhasyon, and Kevin Peter Amado Piamonte, an award-winning director who conducted a talk and workshop on filmmaking. The event also included a competition that led to the Meraki Productions members Felicity Amber Ibrado and Jhazzmyelah Javier becoming a part of the 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐤𝐢𝐛 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦-𝐏𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐝 𝐬𝐚 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐤𝐢𝐛 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐧 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐔𝐩 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐃𝐂𝐎𝐍 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒'𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

The ADCON event through PASAYOD's partnership proved to be a memorable opportunity for Meraki's members, as it expanded and sharpened their knowledge in marketing and advertising through a culturally sensitive approach. This two-day event was a game changer,equipping them with skills that will not only benefit them but also their agency. With this newfound knowledge, Meraki's members are now ready to take on this year's PASAYOD in May, armed with the tools and skills to make a difference.

Earlier this April, Meraki Productions had the pleasure of participating in the Pasayod 2024 Seminar titled "𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝: 𝘿𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙙𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜." The event was held on the 6th of April at Victory Bacolod and provided an opportunity for delegates to share insights and elevate their expertise in delivering top-notch marketing and advertising services through their respective agencies.

Behind the success of the event the Pasayod Committee took charge, four guest speakers were invited who are known to be experts in different sectors of the marketing industry. The guest speakers of the seminar consisted of 𝘿𝙊𝘽𝙊 𝘼𝙙𝙨' 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙍𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙡 𝙋𝙚ñ𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙛 𝙀𝙭𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙍𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙚 𝙊𝙮𝙤𝙨, who shared the importance of style and creativity in the process of creating valuable marketing.

Followed by the second speaker, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙍𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙤𝙢 𝘼𝙜𝙪𝙞, who is the Growth Collective's Marketing Manager, discussing the effectiveness of social media advertising and the digital trends in helping businesses not only boost sales but also improve the longevity of effective businesses as adaptability is crucial to success.

Lastly, 𝙈𝙧. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗗𝘂𝗲ñ𝗮𝘀, known for his projects, and is the University of St. La Salle-Bacolod Director of the Center for Marketing and Communications; highlighting the importance of mastering Brand Message Consisteny, where 3Gs or the goals, guts, and grit should be highly encouraged and utilized.

Through attending the seminar, members of Meraki Productions were able to gather and improve their knowledge in marketing and advertising, which helped them strategize and improve plans for the agency's Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) Plan for PASAYOD 2024.
