Nine (9) members of The Narratives under USLS-PASAYOD had the privilege of taking part in the ADCON 2024 entitled: Likhadvertising: Behind the Artistic Scenes of Creative Marketing. The event took place from April 27 to 28 at the University of the Philippines Visayas in Iloilo City, where storytelling and culture were highlighted. The delegates from the agency are consist of our Agency Directorโ Franczine Danielle Angelique Cordova, Account Executiveโ Clint Lloyd Parzan, Finance Managerโ Fifth Sicangco, Creatives Directorโ Jhaztyn Wayne Lecerio, Art Directorโ Justine Mae Tolentino, Social Media Managerโ Nathaniel Gallego, Production Managerโ Rizza June Jimena, Production Assistantโ Julliane Madrileno, and Logistics Assistantโ Klyde BrehxlerMontalbo. ๐
UPV Chancellor Clement C. Camposano delivered an impactful speech, emphasizing marketers' power to shape culture. Prof. Redison discussed the link between culture, land, and people, emphasizing gender and cultural sensitivity. KIKIK Kollektive showcased their artistic pursuits, aligning with ADCON 2024's objective of promoting harmony. Monette Quioge of Bookshelf PH stressed the value of storytelling, while Eulah Araullo of CANVA PH focused on visually striking advertising campaigns. Audrey Carpio reaffirmed marketers' responsibility as stewards of collective narratives. Dir. Kevin Peter Amado Piamonte explored film production's parallels with advertising strategies, highlighting authenticity in storytelling. Day 1 and Day 2 beneficiaries were KIKIK Kollektive and Panay Indigenous Culture Advocacy Group (PICAG) respectively. Discussions and activities were enriching and impactful which is beneficial and necessary for all the delegates.
The Narratives expressed gratitude to the University of the Philippines Visayas, AdCon 2024 organizers and speakers, for their hard work, making ADCON a life-changing experience for the marketing community. Congratulations for a very successful event!
