WHY DO WE NEED TO CHECK THE TDS OF OUR PRODUCT?

TDS means Total Dissolved Solids. It measures the amount of dissolved substances in water, such as minerals, salts, metals, and other dissolved materials. It is usually measured in ppm (parts per million) or mg/L.

Why do we check TDS?

To monitor water quality – A sudden increase can indicate contamination or changes in the water source.

To check RO performance – In a water station, comparing the raw-water TDS and purified-water TDS helps determine how effectively the reverse osmosis membrane is removing dissolved solids.

To detect membrane problems – If purified-water TDS starts increasing, the membrane may need cleaning, maintenance, or replacement.

For taste and appearance – Very high dissolved solids can affect the taste and may cause scaling.

For consistency and quality control – Regular testing helps ensure your purified water remains within your target quality standards.
