People see the survival story.
They see the smile.
They see the “you’re so strong.”
What they don’t always see is everything cancer quietly took along the way.
The body confidence.
The peace of mind.
The energy.
The innocence.
The time.
The moments with your children you can never get back.
Cancer changes you long before treatment ends.
But somewhere between the grief, fear, scars and survival… I also found strength I never knew I had. I found a tribe that refused to let me fight alone. I watched my children become resilient in ways kids should never have to be.
Cancer took a lot from me.
But it did not take my ability to keep going. 🤍
To every warrior reading this:
I see you. The grief and gratitude can exist at the same time.
