The Halo-Halo Recipe is truly a Pinoy dessert which contains shaved ice, evaporated milk, sugar or some syrup, sweet beans, sweet banana, nata de coco, garbanzos, jelly, macapuno, sago, gulaman, sweet jackfruit, ube halaya and leche flan although it doesn’t necessarily mean you need to have all ingredients to make it but the shaved ice, evaporated milk and sugar needs to be there all the time. This is the best way to do it if you want to know how to make Halo-Halo. 🍧🍧🍧

Banana Fritter (MARUYA) is a type of Filipino snack. It is a fried concoction made from ripe “Saba” banana or plantains. The bananas can either be sliced or mashed. It is then mixed with a batter composed of flour, sugar, vanilla, and egg. A fritter is defines as a mixture (such as a batter) that includes either fruit or meat. Sorbetes is a popular Filipino ice cream flavored with ingredients such as mango, chocolate, cheese, coconut, and purple yam (ube). Traditionally, it is produced from carabao milk and served in tiny scoops on sugar cones. Some Filipinos like to consume it sandwiched between bread buns, like a hamburger.

Although it sounds similar to a sorbet, coming from the Spanish sorbete, it is not a sorbet, but a dirty ice cream, as the locals jokingly call it due to the fact that it is sold along polluted streets. Sorbetes can usually be found at numerous street carts throughout the Philippines.

P**o is a popular Filipino kakanin or delicacy usually enjoyed as a filling midday snack or as an accompaniment to savory dishes such as dinuguan,or pancit.
The word p**o comes from the Malay word “puttu,” which means “portioned.” This makes sense considering most of the time, p**o is made in mini muffin or cupcake molds that are around one to one and half inches–the perfect portion.
