While most brands offer content like blog posts, articles, and videos free of charge, they also create high-level content, such as white papers, case studies, and eBooks to serve as lead magnets. Then they require readers to opt into a mailing list before gaining access to the high-level content.

Once you’ve gained permission to email interested customers, you can introduce your leads to your sales funnel. As your leads discover and engage with your other content marketing efforts, they may convert from potential to current customers.

Typically, businesses and individuals in similar industries either compete or cooperate. It's often either-or. I believe one of the outcomes of Covid-19 is the increased demand for humanity to shift from the personal to the collective – 'from Ego to Eco.' This requires a different kind of collaboration. According to John Weber of projectmanger.com, “business agility is just as it says, a way for businesses to remain agile when markets fluctuate, as they have a tendency to do. The market is unpredictable. It’s a good bet that anyone who says they can see the future is one to give a wide berth; they don’t know what they’re talking about.”

There are trends and systems that can calculate and estimate the likelihood of what is to come, but the reality is there are too many variables to make any such equation infallible. Then there is the human element. Remember, the market is a man-made construct, and man is an infamously irrational creature. The mix of the two creates what is commonly called market volatility.

Therefore, the given in any strategic business plan is that things are going to change. The plan must be plastic to survive such disruptions. Just because you know they’re coming, though, doesn’t mean you know what they are or when they’ll occur.
