Since it's Liga Season and vacation, I decided to redesign the logo we always see. This is also my first project as a Graphic Design student.
A little backstory about the seal: Some of you might not know, but back in April 2021, I was tasked with designing the seal for the Sangguniang Kabataan ng Mabacan. At first, I had no idea what to do since it was my first time creating a logo. At 14 years old, my editing skills on a laptop, especially in Photoshop, were quite limited. I was proud of that project because I even added a watermark to it. The logo's elements include a Pineapple Crown representing our town, Calauan; a Gear on the left symbolizing the hardworking people of Mabacan; and a Basketball on the right as Mabacan is known for sports like basketball.
In the redesign process, I kept the elements of the current logo but made it clearer and more minimal. I made the pineapple crown more recognizable and enlarged the gear and basketball on either side of the seal. Compared to the current logo, it looks more youthful and, unlike before, there's no watermark (my younger self would be sad, HAHAHA).
One of the additions in my redesigned seal is the variation of the seal. Although the three seals look similar, they differ in application and use. I made them more minimal, with variations in outline or single color, for use on jerseys and other items. You can see this in the fourth picture.
