Filipino Music Legend Freddie Aguilar Dies at age 72..

Renowned Filipino folk icon Freddie Aguilar passed away early Tuesday morning at the age of 72, following complications from multiple health conditions.
Aguilar rose to international fame with his 1978 mega-hit “Anak “("Child"), a heartfelt song inspired by his personal struggles with family and reconciliation. The track became the best-selling song of all time, with over 33 million copies sold worldwide and translations into more than 20 languages.
Beyond his musical achievements, Aguilar was known for using his voice to champion social justice and national pride. His powerful rendition of “Bayan Ko” became an anthem of protest during the 1986 People Power Revolution against Ferdinand Marcos' dictatorship.
In 2013, Aguilar embraced Islam and later married Jovie Gatdula Albao, who remained by his side during his final days. In accordance with Muslim tradition, preparations were underway for his burial within 24 hours of his passing.
Aguilar leaves behind a towering legacy in Original Pilipino Music (OPM), with songs that continue to resonate with generations of and music lovers around the world.

May he rest in peace, as I had the chance to meet him several times during my travels to the Philippines. He was a true example of humility and kindness.

I didn’t know her or about her until she passed away unfortunately 🙏All i can say is that her death was so messed up on all levels & how she got did and on a Live 😪Seeing how uneasy she was and how she felt her inner gut telling her to go she definitely felt death coming to her 🙏This is the reason why keeping a tight circle and not trusting others as much. I think envy , hate, & jealousy takes a big toll in this.. there are many stories floating around but for sure one thing is that it’s going to all come out sooner or later … until then My condolences to her family and friends 🙏 She was young beautiful and successful and had her whole life ahead of her and got robbed from it 🙏 Prayers a esta
