Different Genders. One Spectrum. One Love.
Pride is not just a month on the calendar.
It is a declaration. A reminder. A revolution of self-love. It is the courage to exist fully in a world that once demanded silence. It is choosing joy over shame. Truth over fear. Authenticity over masks. It is every person, in every corner, saying: “This is who I am. And I am proud of it."
Unity is when every letter — L, G, B, T, Q, I, A, + — stands shoulder to shoulder. Different identities, Different journeys, One shared fight. Unity is when allies link arms with the community, when questions are met with patience, and differences are met with respect. Unity means no story gets erased. No voice gets ignored. No person gets left behind.
Because our strength is not the same.
Our strength is in choosing each other, anyway.
To all the LGBTQIA+ students at METROPOLITAN INSTITUTE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES.
This Pride Month is for you.
Your truth matters, Your presence strengthens us, Your pride inspires us. For every time you chose to be real in a world that asked you to hide, For every small act of courage it took to show up as yourself.
For every dream you hold while figuring things out — 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆. 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂 𝒑𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒆, 𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂 𝒅𝒆𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒆, 𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖. We see your colors, we honor your story, we celebrate your pride, and keep shining, keep growing, keep being unapologetically you.
To every person part of the LGBTQIA+ community your story did not start with struggle, and it will not end there either.
It started the moment you realized the truth. And it continues every time you choose yourself. The world will try to shrink you. But you were not made to fit into boxes, you were made to love loudly, live honestly, and exist fully. There will be days when you feel tired, days you question everything.
That’s okay, Pride isn’t about being strong.
Pride is remembering, even on your weakest days: You are worthy, you are enough, you are loved.
To the ones still in the closet: take your time. Your safety comes first, your truth will find its moment.
To the ones who are out: thank you for making the path brighter for those behind you.
To the ones questioning: you don’t need all the answers to be valid. You are valid right now. Because the world needs your colors. You are not alone, you are not too much, you are exactly who you’re meant to be. The future is brighter because you’re in it. So this Pride Month, we celebrate more than colors.
We celebrate courage, belonging and the power of "we".
Be proud of who you are.
Be united with who we are.
Together, our light does not dim.
Together, our love wins.
