SPORTS: Malaysian paragliding pilots transformed the inaugural Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI)-sanctioned Oslob International Accuracy Championships 2026 into a family affair as the Nafis clan soared above and dominated the skies over Oslob’s Paragliding Cafe in southern Cebu just recently.

FEW DAYS LEFT BEFORE THE BIGGEST SPORTS TOURISM FORUM IN CEBU

With only a few days to go before the Sports Tourism Forum 2026, limited slots remain for the one-day event set on March 18, 2026 at the Grand Ballroom A, NUSTAR Resort Cebu in Cebu City.

The forum will gather leaders from the sports and tourism sectors, government officials, and private stakeholders to discuss the role of tourism in sports events, sponsorship impact, and the challenges and achievements in managing sports tourism activities. Participants will also have the opportunity to widen their network and gain insights from key industry leaders.

The event is supported by Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Department of Tourism Region 7, Cebu MICE Alliance, and NUSTAR Resort Cebu, with The Freeman as the official media partner.

Registration is ₱2,500 on a first-come, first-served basis and includes lunch, snacks, a certificate, and networking opportunities.

Cebu to Host Sports Tourism Forum at NUSTAR Resort Cebu

Cebu will welcome sports and tourism industry leaders, government officials, and private sector stakeholders to the Sports Tourism Forum 2026 at the NUSTAR Grand Ballroom in NUSTAR Resort Cebu on March 18, 2026. This one-day event is fully supported by Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Department of Tourism Region 7, the Cebu MICE Alliance and NUSTAR Resort Cebu, highlighting Cebu’s growing role as a premier destination for sports tourism in the Philippines.

The forum will feature three rounds of panel discussions on key topics shaping the industry today:

-Is the Tourism Sector Doing Its Share in Sports Tourism

-Sponsorship Impact on Sports Tourism

-Achievements & Challenges in Managing Sports Tourism Events

Distinguished guest speakers include Mr. Patrick “Pato” Gregorio, Chairman of the Philippine Sports Commission; Ms. Cleofe Albiso, President of the Cebu MICE Alliance; Ms. Princess Galura, President and General Manager of Sunrise Events Inc.; Dir.
