**The Crucial Role of a Site Administrator in Maintaining Website Security**

recently had an experience that highlighted just how important it is to have a dedicated Site Administrator. Here’s a quick recap:
just an hour ago, I noticed I couldn’t access the admin URL login page for one of our client's websites. After reaching out to the client, we discovered that unauthorized changes had been made to our admin settings, possibly by someone with old access credentials.

We quickly realized the importance of regularly updating passwords and auditing user access. It turned out that someone had installed a plugin to hide the WP login page, likely as part of an attempt to hijack the site. Our team was quick and managed to retrieve backend access through FTP and immediately started changing all logins to prevent further issues.

This situation reminded me of past experiences with security breaches, often caused by outdated access from previous developers. Regularly updating credentials, removing obsolete accounts, and monitoring for unusual activity are crucial steps in keeping a website secure.
