The Beach Cafe in Zamboanguita recently changed management, and we are excited to welcome them to our client roster!

Over the past few weeks, a new chapter has quietly begun here at Beach Cafe. While the view, the breeze, and the familiar feeling of this place are still very much the same, some things behind the scenes have changed.

First of all, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to Dick and Arlynn for their trust in passing Beach Cafe on to a new team (hi, that's us!). This place has meant a lot to many people in the community over the years, and we feel grateful to be able to continue its story.

You’ll notice a new menu with a fresh selection of dishes, alongside a few old favorites that we know many of you love. Our team is a mix of familiar faces and some new ones – all excited (and a little nervous) to welcome you. As we find our rhythm and settle into this new phase, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding while the team finds their bearings and fine-tunes the experience.

Whether you’ve been coming to Beach Cafe for years or you’re discovering it for the first time, we'd love you to come by, say hi, and let us know what you think.

Did you know Bata ng Calabnugan has been welcoming orphans and at-risk children for nearly 20 years?

Our Family Home was founded in 2005 by Francesco and Flora, together with a dedicated group of volunteers. Their vision was simple but powerful: to create a safe, loving environment for orphaned and vulnerable girls in the Dumaguete area.

We won’t sugarcoat it - this work has rarely been easy. There were moments when we felt like giving up. But thanks to the support of our community, and the unwavering help of our Italian partner NGO , we’ve been able to overcome countless challenges and stay true to our mission: to help children in need, give them a home to live in, guarantee them a quality education and the care they need to grow up.

Since our founding, we’ve supported 82 children; some through fostering or adoption, others through family reunification. Some have completed college and now live independently. Today, more than 20 children live in our Family Home, including babies, children with special needs, and those who have experienced severe trauma.

We receive very limited government funding and are 100% reliant on donations. If you'd like to support our work, please visit our website or message us to learn more about donation options. Every contribution makes a difference!

We're so excited to be part of The Reef-World Foundation team this year! We'll be managing all social media accounts for both Reef-World and Green Fins. It's been such a pleasure getting to know the organization and global team in the past weeks. Thank you for the trust guys!

As we step into 2026, our hope is for more collaboration and more moments where small actions lead to meaningful change. Protecting coral reefs isn’t always easy, but when people come together across communities, industries, and borders, progress becomes possible.
