DCitizen ID News Update:
The City Information Technology Center (CITC) says the DCitizen ID system and app are in their final development phases and currently under testing.

Registration: Residents may apply via valid ID, barangay clearance, or online. 

Validity periods:
• Children (≤ 15 years): electronic card, 5-year validity 
• Teens (15–17): physical card, 5 years 
• Adults (18+): physical card, 10 years 
• Transient residents: 1-year valid card 
• PWDs: 5 years 
• Senior citizens: lifetime validity 
• Color coding: Cards will be color-coded by category (permanent residents, transients, PWDs, seniors). 

The DCitizen ID is meant to streamline access to social services, healthcare, financial aid, etc., by reducing the documentation burden.

However, it will only be valid within Davao City.

There are strict penalties for misuse, falsification, or unauthorized copies: up to 1 year imprisonment and ₱5,000 fine.

LOOK | AUGUST 2025 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE OF 803-M STA. ANA WHARF BRIDGE, DAVAO CITY COASTAL ROAD

The 803-meter Sta. Ana Wharf Bridge—an integral component of Segment D of the Davao City Coastal Road—continues to progress steadily toward completion. As of August 2025, Approach B is now being land-filled and constructed, marking a crucial step in connecting the bridge seamlessly to the main carriageway. Meanwhile, the northbound approach is already being leveled and paved.

Once the entire 17.8-kilometer Davao City Coastal Road is completed, it will ease traffic congestion in the city center while providing motorists and commuters with a scenic route along Davao’s bustling growth corridor.

Set against the backdrop of the Davao Park District skyline, the bridge highlights both functionality and aesthetics. The Davao Park District, a modern township by Megaworld Corporation, features office towers, themed condominiums, and green spaces—making the bridge not just an infrastructure milestone but also a complement to Davao’s evolving urban landscape.

LOOK | MICE BUILDING SET FOR COMPLETION BY DECEMBER 2025

The City Government of Davao is targeting to complete the Multi-Purpose MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Building by the end of this year. This five-storey facility will feature an amphitheater on its upper floors, dedicated meeting spaces, and a spacious pasalubong display area.

Originally known as the Pasalubong Center, the project’s second phase began in 2024. It is Located along Palma Gil Street in Barangay 4-A, Población District—right beside the Davao City Investment and Promotion Center (DCIPC) and near People’s Park. Once completed, it is expected to become a key venue for events, exhibitions, and tourism promotion in the city.

EYES HERE | 4.01 KM SAMAL-DAVAO CONNECTOR BRIDGE—December 2024 Update
The installation of the crane way is already finished for the Samal-Davao Connector (SIDC) Bridge; and currently, the drilling and foundation works are well underway.
With a cost of P23.039 billion, the SIDC bridge is a two-way, four-lane 4.01-km bridge. It is 24 meters in width and has a vertical navigational clearance of up to 47 meters supported by two pylons with a height of 73 meters. The Samal-Davao
Connector Bridge is expected to be finished by 2028—poised to become Mindanao’s longest bridge once finished.
