Built by renowned Mindanaoan artist Kublai Millan, this iconic durian statue symbolizes Davao City’s rich cultural diversity—showcasing different tribes and religions living together in unity and harmony.

The durian itself represents the city’s abundance, especially its world-famous harvests. This landmark was also created in honor of Doña Carmen Marfori Soriano, whose contributions greatly shaped Davao’s growth and legacy.

Located just outside Davao International Airport, the statue warmly welcomes arriving visitors and bids farewell to those leaving—making it one of the city’s most memorable landmarks.
