Job Description (What kind of job):
SUMMARY: Analyze business needs, design, implement and support Systems/Telecommunication/Network solutions on multiple architectures. Provide Project Management and Engineering for installations, upgrades, maintenance, and strategic initiatives. Develop Team members (if nany) through knowledge and skill transfer. Act as a liaison between Technology/Business partners and our Employees insuring support, adherence and alignment to the strategic direction of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Which are not in any hierarchical order – including but not limited to smile emoticon
o Acts as Technical Lead for the administration and maintenance of systems and infrastructure as directed by MIS Managers.
o Design, Specify, configure, install, and maintain systems, LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, switches, wireless devices, cabling, and dedicated Internet connection.
o Provide routine after-hours maintenance and emergency support as needed to maintain and secure network and systems.
o Establish and maintain network users, user environment , directories, and security attributes.
o Oversee set up and troubleshoot communications between computers, networks, data switches, printers, and other network and wireless resources.
o Recommend purchase of all MIS related equipment for computer systems and infrastructure, including but not limited to cable, routers, switches, software and manuals, always keeping in mind the standards that have been set and the overall best interest of Stratoc.
o Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, user support, security, and backup.
o Ensure ex*****on of a periodic backup of essential files and datasets, including the ability to restore selected files/datasets upon request in an expeditious manner.
o Develop and maintain documentation.
o Test, learn and evaluate software and hardware
o Conduct research to obtain current information about latest trends in networking.
o Work with MIS management to develop and communicate standards for use, operations, and security of network, personal computers, and data.
o Serves as a Team Lead for troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery.
o Assists in the facilitation of meetings. Delivers informative, well-organized presentations.
o Mentors those with less experience through informal channels.
o Seeks and participates in development opportunities above and beyond training
o Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
o Knowledge of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of a variety of IT infrastructure and operating systems.
o Skill in prioritizing, assigning, reviewing and evaluating work.
o Skill in managing multiple projects, systems analysis, planning and organizing in a timely manner.
o Skill in accurately determining the hardware and software needs of the departments and end users.
o Skill in utilizing written and verbal communication in the development of reports.
o Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing with all levels of management and external agencies to coordinate and implement departmental applications.
o Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
o Ability to evaluate training needs and objectives for technical staff (if any)
o Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
Minimum Skills (Bullet Point of Skillset):
* Intermediate Networking including Router and FW configurations
* Windows Server Administration
* Hyper-V Management
* Basic SQL server Administration
* Backup and Disaster Recovery
* IT security fundamentals
* Good oral and written communication / technical documentation
Responsibilities:

Preferred Skills (Brief overview of skills that would be nice to have):
- Certified (MCSE or equivalent) is preferred.
- Extensive experience on complex server environments - Windows Server 2012 R2 including but not limited to Hyper-V, Active Directory, Group Policy, RDS, Exchange, etc.
- Extensive experience on complex Networking (working on multi-routers and multi-firewalls, switches, etc. i.e. Sonicwall) - SQL Server administration with T-SQL development
- Familiar with several Virtualization Technologies
- Familiar on IT operations i.e. configuration management, etc.

Integral part of our IT team.
Administration, planning, maintenance, monitoring, security, support of IT infrastructure and systems.

Desired Working Hours (Standard hours are 9-6 Manila time; please advise any variation you may require):
This is a staff augmentation requirement working in US Pacific Time Zone. (8am to 5pm, Mon to Fri) 40 hours per week.
