Yo, cousin! Imagine if Carmy and Michael from The Bear opened a restaurant together. 🍽️✨
✨ HOW IT STARTED
While preparing test questions on fonts for logo design for my Trainers Methodology class, I thought, "What if Carmy and Michael actually opened a restaurant?" This idea inspired me to create the Bear/Beef brand identity, starting with a logotype design and evolving into a comprehensive brand identity system. I had so much fun working on this project! 😄
✨ BEAR/BEEF BRIEF
Carmy and Michael are launching Bear/Beef, a fine dining restaurant that elevates traditional family recipes by giving them a modern twist. They wanted the branding to evoke warmth, nostalgia, and sophistication, featuring a wordmark for their signage, menu, website, and social media.
✨ THE RESULT
Bear/Beef's brand identity system is versatile and dynamic, showcasing its warm personality while maintaining design unity. The wordmark features distinct glyphs for the two Bs in Bear and Beef, reflecting Carmy and Michael's individual personalities. The second B adds a playful touch, highlighting the modern twist on classic dishes. The submark incorporates the slash motif from the wordmark, cutting across the two Bs and using different colors to emphasize their individuality. This approach ensures a cohesive and impactful visual experience across all brand materials.
Mockups, including business cards, posters, and social media visuals, demonstrate how the Bear/Beef identity adapts seamlessly across various platforms.
