Meet Welvic Custodio, the owner of AMUMA Self-Photo Studio & Printing Services in Cagdianao, Dinagat Islands.
Founded in 2024, AMUMA started as a self-photo studio and gradually grew into a business offering both photography and printing services. Initially providing self-photo sessions, AMUMA has expanded its services to include ID and photo printing, T-shirt and sticker printing, photobooth rentals, souvenirs, customized designs, and other printing services. Today, it serves individuals, families, schools, businesses, and local event organizers.
As the business continued to grow, AMUMA recognized the need to strengthen its operations, improve its financial management, and establish a clearer direction for expansion. Through the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program, the business gained valuable knowledge and guidance that helped translate its ideas into a more structured Business Improvement Plan (BIP) and Business Model Canvas.
The program strengthened AMUMA's understanding of financial management, bookkeeping, budgeting, business projections, marketing, inventory monitoring, and operational planning. It also helped the business identify opportunities to expand its offerings through additional printing products, customized merchandise, photobooth services, souvenirs, and other value-added products and services. Furthermore, AMUMA recognized the importance of strengthening its social media presence, promotional activities, customer engagement, and partnerships with schools, businesses, government offices, and event organizers.
Beyond improving its products and services, the KMME Program helped AMUMA develop a more organized approach to managing its operations. The business identified the need to establish clear staff roles, provide employee training, improve financial and inventory records, upgrade equipment, and prepare for future hiring as the enterprise expands.
Moving forward, AMUMA Self-Photo Studio & Printing Services aims to further strengthen its photography and printing services, invest in additional equipment, enhance its marketing and customer engagement strategies, and build stronger partnerships within the community. It also seeks to offer more customized and accessible products and services while maintaining quality, creativity, and reliable customer service.
