๐ŸŽฌ Submissions for the official Philippine entry to the 99th Academy Awards are open until July 31, 2026.

The Film Academy of the Philippines has opened submissions for the Pinoy Oscars Pursuit, its grants program supporting Filipino films vying for recognition at the Academy Awards and other international honors.

The program covers the country's official nominee for Best International Feature Film, as well as Filipino films competing in other Oscars categories and industry awards like the Golden Globes and Independent Spirit Awards.

Submissions for the official Philippine entry to the 99th Academy Awards are open until July 31, 2026.

"When a Filipino film earns a place on the world stage, the whole country gains," said Director-General Paolo Villaluna.

'A Quiet Bloom,' marked as the first-ever full-length Cebuano sapphic film, will have a limited release from June 24 to 30 in select cinemas. Drae and Yamie Cerna's directorial debut, starring Victoria Ingram and Leigh Sunga in the lead roles as Iris and Hyacinth, follows two women who seek to overcome societal and personal pressures together.

In celebration of Pride Month, Rainbow Cine Manila 2026 will screen Filipino q***r films from different generations and emerging filmmakers. The event will be held from June 20 to 21 at Cafรฉ La Manila, Escolta. Full-day access with a drink is at โ‚ฑ450, and a screening pass is at โ‚ฑ350.
