PH government websites are notorious for having non-functional and non user-friendly sites. I wanted to test out one of them and my first review is on BIR.

As someone who works in the tech industry, I couldn't help but evaluate the website through a quality assurance (QA) lens. I took some time to review and document my QA process for evaluating websites. I looked at the website's user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), as well as its loading speed and search functionality which is important if you're finding a specific info in a large chunk of info that BIR has.

While the website was a bit outdated and could have been organized better, it did provide me with the necessary forms and information I needed to file my taxes online. However, I do think that the government could benefit from investing in improving the website to make it more user-friendly for all Filipinos.
Probably do SSS next.

This kid was able to do wonders in the ripe age of 13. While at 22, I'm still planning to study for the AWS Cloud Associate Certification for a year.

Guess who is the youngest person in the world 🌍 to pass "AWS Solution Architect Associate exam"...

Let me introduce my little boy 👦Saksham. On his 13th birthday, Saksham became the world’s youngest AWS Solutions architect Associate certified🎓 person when he passed Amazon Web Services (AWS) exam on Friday, 19th Nov 2021.

He made the best use of his time at home during Covid-19 pandemic and achieved this feat along with 3 Microsoft Azure certification.

I can't wait to see what he achieves next. He already set his next goal for Python & Machine Learning and Website design (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)..

Note: The minimum age to appear for AWS exam is 13.

Post by: Niraj Kumar, father of Saksham.

Let’s talk about salaries. This maybe a sensitive topic, but it’d be nice to know about salaries outside of job listings.

I’m always that person who believes that you need to work hard to earn a place in the world, especially career-wise so I started my career long before I went to college. Took a couple of internships & did a bit of freelance before and after.

I don’t have any problems money-wise. I didn’t care how much my salary would be because I was working just to build my portfolio. I was able to build connections along the way, that’s why I was able to land a couple of gigs until I had a regular paying job.

In those years, I didn’t care how much allowance or salary I would get. It probably wouldn’t matter to me in the next two years after I graduate because I want to focus more on mastering my skills as a dev. Also I also knew all too well what salary is waiting for me.

I understand. I know people who have no experience and have a salary that’s out of their skillset due to certain circumstances and people who are underpaid despite their years of expertise.

Reality is the economy itself isn’t that friendly for fresh graduates in the first place. You must always be street smart or patient to get where you want to be.

Devs, what do you, how many years did it take you to get your desired salary and the position you wanted?
