SustainAbility Day 1 Highlights: Iloilo Leaders Push Green Growth and Resilience
The Iloilo Business Club (IBC) opened SustainAbility 2026 with a full-day forum bringing together government agencies, business leaders, and sustainability advocates in Iloilo City today, February 12, 2026.
The morning session featured registration, exhibit viewing, and an opening ceremony highlighted by the Project Transformation MOA signing between DENR and local government units. A keynote on regional sustainability and resilience set the tone for the discussions.
Plenary Session 1 focused on the Sustainable Built Environment, covering climate-resilient infrastructure, smart urban planning, and inclusive design, followed by a Green Chat.
In the afternoon, Plenary Session 2 centered on Sustainable Resource Management, including environmental protection, disaster risk reduction, and circular systems. Speakers from DENR and sustainability sectors shared insights on aligning economic growth with responsible and sustainable business practices.
The program concluded with reflections from the Sustainability Board, the awarding of certificates, and a networking session featuring an exhibit of sustainable local products.
